Founder Dr. Joseph Savon is a board-certified physician and a leader in the space of addiction treatment. His commitment to addiction treatment leverages a holistic approach to treating the individual like a family member. This level of care spreads across the treatment team throughout the different stages of addiction treatment. At New Life, the patient’s progress is carefully reviewed by both the medical and clinical teams. Dr. Joseph Savon is the Chief Medical Officer and Founder of New Life (also known as New Life Medical Detoxification, LLC). This role came naturally to Dr. Savon since he has been a New Jersey Top Doc, a member of Who’s Who and an esteemed member of the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia medical communities for over 35 years.
Dr. Savon received his Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Joseph’s University and his medical degree at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. After completing his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University, and his gastroenterology fellowship at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Savon went on to become an esteemed gastroenterologist in Marlton, New Jersey. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the Subspecialty of Addiction Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine in the Subspecialty of Gastroenterology. Dr. Savon is also on the AmeriHealth Physicians Advisory Committee and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Joe is one of the co-founders at the Endocenter at Voorhees, one of the busiest and highest quality Gastrointestinal Endoscopy centers in the nation and is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
At the Endocenter, Dr. Savon has performed nearly 50,000 medical procedures and he is one of 28 doctors at Virtua Healthcare System who specialize in Gastroenterology. As a result of his incredible focus on patient care and dedication to excellence in medicine, Dr. Savon has been recognized as a New Jersey Top Doc once again in 2023 – that’s 7 years straight! Dr. Joe is also a partner at South Jersey Gastroenterology.
As a physician, Dr. Joseph Savon is known for taking a personal interest in the health and well-being of the patients he cares for. Over the past several years, Dr. Savon has become increasingly concerned by the country’s growing addiction crisis and took it upon himself to become an expert in proven medical approaches to managing addiction.
Dr. Savon’s intense personal interest in this area led him to seek further education and credentialization in the medical management and treatment of addiction to opioids, alcohol and other addictive substances. Dr. Savon is now a member of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the sub-specialty of Addiction.
Dr. Savon’s impressive academic credentials, numerous accreditations and long history as an outstanding physician have earned him a loyal following of patients. But what people love most about Dr. Joseph Savon is the individualistic way that he approaches each of the patients that he cares for. Dr. Savon wants every one of his patients to experience the best possible outcome from the care he provides and to live life to their maximum potential.

Bob Johnson is currently the Chief Operations Officer of New Life Medical Detox. In this role he is responsible for all business operations including financial, human resources, and clinical business matters. He also oversees New Life's growth through marketing and communications efforts.
Bob started his career at the Bank of Mid-Jersey where he managed a portion of the bank's investment portfolio along with a number of individual trust accounts. Subsequently, he joined Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company where he assisted in managing the company's portfolio and also worked as a securities analyst. During this time, Bob undertook a multi-year course of study and obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
After many years in the corporate sector, Bob founded Skippack Investment Advisors with the goal of providing institutional-level, high quality asset management services to individuals and families. In 2014, to better offer his clients a higher and more comprehensive level of planning services and other asset management resources, he joined BLBB Advisors, an investment management firm with a similar management style. At BLBB, Bob managed assets for his clients - primarily individuals, families, and local businesses.
Bob is a graduate of Houghton College and received his MA in Business Management from Central Michigan University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia, Inc.
Outside of the office, Bob is an active volunteer in his community. He serves on the Board of Directors of New Life Medical Detoxification, LLC. In his free time, Bob likes to participate in numerous outdoor activities such as golfing, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoys studying history, particularly the American Civil War period.

Mr. Morgan is responsible for Business Informatics and Business Applications Services at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His responsibilities include management of Informatics services supporting all Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and Sloan Kettering Institute (SKI) business departments as well as Business Applications Services supporting Human Resources, Employee Health Services, Research and Technology Management and Clinical Administrative Systems. Prior to joining Memorial Sloan Kettering, Mr. Morgan served as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at the NASDAQ. Before joining NASDAQ, Mr. Morgan was Executive Vice President Technology and Operations, Chief Information Officer at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Inc. (PHLX) with responsibility for the Exchange’s Technology Division and Exchange Market Operations. During his tenure at the PHLX, Mr. Morgan served in various technical and managerial positions including Project Manager, Group Manager, Assistant Vice President and Vice President.
Mr. Morgan has over 30 years of experience in technology, operations and Human Resources. He has received numerous awards for his work including the Society for Information Management (SIM) Leadership Award and the LaSalle University Information Technology Leadership Award. Mr Morgan has also been a finalist for the Computerworld Smithsonian Award. He most recently received the US Options Industry Lifetime Contribution Award and was inducted into the Crowd of Fame by the Options Clearing Corporation and the Options Industry Council. His work has been featured in articles published in Computer World, Information Week, LAN Magazine, Securities Industry News and Wall Street Technology Magazine.
Mr. Morgan serves on the Board of Directors of New Life Medical Detoxification Services, Inc., and the Villanova University Computing Sciences Advisory Council. He has served on the Peirce College Board of Trustees where he was Vice Chairman. Mr. Morgan has also served on the Lourdes Health System Board of Directors, the Society for Information Management (SIM) Board of Directors, the LaSalle University Information Management Advisory Board, and Securities Industry Association (SIA) Steering Committee. Mr. Morgan is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute, at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Maxima Cum Laude graduate of Peirce College in Philadelphia with a degree in computer science.

Thomas Savon is a Partner in the Philadelphia office of Naulty, Scaricamazza, and McDevitt LLC, and practices with the firm’s Medical Malpractice Department. He focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice litigation and insurance defense.
Thomas has over thirty-five (35) years’ experience litigating complex professional liability claims. He has tried hundreds of cases to verdict in Philadelphia, throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in State and Federal Courts. He has successfully defended hospitals and physicians in virtually every specialty of complex medical litigation. He has extensive experience in the defense of complex negligence claims and has litigated numerous general liability defense cases. He lectures to the University of Pennsylvania medical students on an annual basis since 2014, as well as presents to fellows, in all areas of medical malpractice litigation. Responsible for Wexler v. Hecht, the first case interpreting the requirements under the MCARE act as successfully argued in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
For approximately fifteen (15) years, Thomas has represented The University of Pennsylvania Healthcare System which is comprised of several major hospitals, numerous practice groups and physician offices. He represents Albert Einstein Health Network and Thomas Jefferson University. Additional representation include TeamHealth, a national network of insured doctors, nurses and healthcare providers, the Medical Care Availability and Reduction of Error Fund (Mcare) (1998-present) which includes doctors and numerous hospitals in catastrophic claims. Additional clients include Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company and Care Professional Liability Association, LLC. Finally, he represents Comcast Spectacor and frequently the Philadelphia Flyers.
Over the years, Thomas has also represented healthcare providers through the following insurers, PHICO, MIIX, PMSLIC, PP&CIGA, Princeton Insurance and Franklin Casualty Insurance Company. In terms of institutional defendants, Thomas has represented, among others, Manor Care, Graduate Hospital, Frankford Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Reading Hospital & Medical Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, Delaware Valley Medical Center, Delaware County Memorial Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital, Temple University Hospital as well as the aforementioned The University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Thomas is a certified arbitrator licensed by the Superior Court of New Jersey, and he was appointed to the position of Burlington County Court Arbitrator. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as before the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and District of New Jersey. Thomas is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
A graduate of DeSales University, Thomas received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985, and was awarded his Juris Doctorate from Delaware Law School of Widener University in 1988. He has served a counselor to the Knights of Columbus (2016-2018), is a Board member of New Life Medical Addiction Services (2017-present) and has been a long time coach of many youth sporting programs including wrestling, basketball and baseball (Coach of the Year, 2002). He is a Eucharistic Minister and distributes communion for home bound and terminally ill individuals.
