MAT

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach used to treat substance use disorders, particularly for opioids (such as heroin and prescription painkillers) and alcohol. MAT involves the use of FDA-approved medications that help normalize brain chemistry, reduce cravings, and alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

MAT is tailored to each individual's needs, considering factors such as the severity of the addiction, medical history, and personal preferences. MAT requires ongoing medical supervision to monitor the effectiveness of medications, manage any side effects, and ensure safety. Healthcare providers work closely with individuals to determine the appropriate dosage and duration of medication.

Daytox℠

Unlike inpatient detox programs, New Life’s program allows individuals to continue with their daily responsibilities, such as work, school, or caregiving, while undergoing treatment. This can promote a sense of normalcy and reduce disruptions to daily life. Treatment plans are personalized based on the individual's substance use history, health status, and specific needs. This ensures that treatment is tailored to address the unique challenges and goals of each person.

The detoxification process is overseen by healthcare professionals who monitor both physical and mental health during withdrawal. This includes assessing symptoms, managing discomfort, and ensuring safety throughout the detoxification period. Medications may be prescribed to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings, depending on the substance and severity of withdrawal.

IOP

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment incorporates various therapeutic modalities to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction or mental health issues. Unlike inpatient programs, participants in IOP treatment return home or to a supportive living environment after each session. This flexibility allows individuals to maintain their daily routines, such as work, school, or caregiving responsibilities, while still receiving intensive therapeutic support.

IOP treatment provide holistic care that may include medical and psychiatric support, medication management, and access to other healthcare professionals as needed to address co-occurring disorders and ensure overall well-being. The structured schedule of IOP treatment helps individuals develop a routine and focus on their recovery goals. This consistency and accountability support individuals in building new coping skills and maintaining sobriety.

Outpatient

Outpatient treatment allows individuals to attend therapy sessions, counseling, and group meetings at scheduled times while living at home or in a supportive environment. It may serve as a step-down from more intensive levels of care, such as hospitalization or residential treatment, as individuals progress in their recovery journey and gain confidence in managing their sobriety.

New Life’s outpatient program encourage family involvement in therapy and educational sessions. Family support and understanding can significantly impact an individual's recovery process and help strengthen relationships. It focuses on educating individuals about addiction, relapse prevention strategies, coping skills development, and life skills training to support long-term recovery and personal growth.

It begins with a willingness to change.
