About Dr. Savon
Dr. Joseph Savon is New Life’s Chief Medical Officer and is also one of its co-founders. Dr. Savon has been a prominent figure in the medical communities of New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia for more than 35 years. He has been recognized as a New Jersey Top Doc for seven consecutive years and is also a member of Who’s Who.
Dr. Savon completed his Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Joseph’s University, and his medical degree at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He underwent his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Savon later became a prominent gastroenterologist in Marlton, New Jersey, and is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the Subspecialty of Addiction Medicine, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine in the Subspecialty of Gastroenterology. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is on the AmeriHealth Physicians Advisory Committee.
Apart from his role at New Life, Dr. Savon is also one of the co-founders of the Endocenter at Voorhees, which is one of the most reputable Gastrointestinal Endoscopy centers in the country. He has performed nearly 50,000 medical procedures at the Endocenter and is among the 28 doctors at Virtua Healthcare System specializing in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Savon’s unwavering focus on patient care and his commitment to excellence in medicine have earned him accolades from the medical fraternity. He has a personal interest in the well-being of his patients and believes in taking an individualistic approach to each one of them. Dr. Savon has also become an expert in managing addiction to opioids, alcohol, and other addictive substances, and is now a member of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the sub-specialty of Addiction.
