Jeff’s Camp will be located on Marty Weber’s 36-acre property and will provide housing, a thrift store and a range of services for homeless veterans.

The whole thing began with a promise that Marty Weber made to his partner, Jeff as he lay dying of cancer. The Veteran’s Administration system had failed Jeff and he only received the care that he was due when it was too late to save his life. As Jeff lay dying in Marty’s arms, Marty promised that he would make it his life’s work to make sure that when our nation asks its service people to make the ultimate sacrifice, our country returns the favor by taking care of veterans in need.

The idea for Jeff”s Camp, a homeless veteran’s shelter and advanced facilities for their care in Ocean County, arose from Jeff’s tragic passing. Marty, the owner of YoBuck Landscaping on Rt. 72 in Barnegat, has made the decision to convert his 36-acre property into a site that is completely dedicated to the veterans who have so proudly served our country.

Marty is partnering with Just Believe, Inc., headed by President & CEO Paul Hulse, to create housing and other facilities on his property for homeless veterans.  Just Believe, Inc. is a homeless advocacy group that helps the homeless in South Jersey with a wide range of services including temporary Code Blue shelters, health care liaison and assistance with permanent home placement.

Just Believe, Inc.’s successes are nothing short of amazing and the fact that they are focusing on Marty’s dream of Jeff’s Camp is a blessing for the region.

The New Life Executive Team, consisting of Dr. Joe Savon, Joel Albano and former Philadelphia Flyer, Todd Fedoruk met with Marty and the Just Believe, Inc. team to discuss the inclusion of a drug and alcohol detox and out-patient rehab services at Jeff’s Camp. Formed in 2018, New Life Medical Addiction Services has experienced rapid growth, mainly because of its medically focused, outpatient approach to drug rehab, alcohol rehab and detox. New Life’s approach allows for its staff to care for patients in a way that has not been seen before in South Jersey.

The meeting was very productive and will be followed by another meeting next week with Congressman Andy Kim who is a friend Marty’s and who is committed to lending his support to veteran’s issues.
