Dr. Joe Savon Named NJ Top Doc 2020!

For the 4th year in a row, New Life Medical Addiction Service’s Medical Director and Co-founder, Dr. Joseph Savon, has been named a NJ Top Doc 2020!

We’re proud of this achievement but we’re not surprised. Dr. Joe has been a leader in our medical systems and local community for over 35 years and he has no intention of slowing down. Outside of New Life, Dr. Joe is one of the partners at the Endocenter at Voorhees, one of the busiest and highest quality Gastrointestinal Endoscopy centers in the nation and is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

At the Endocenter, Dr. Savon has performed nearly 50,000 medical procedures and he is one of 28 doctors at Virtua Healthcare System who specialize in Gastroenterology.

Many doctors with Joe’s degree of achievement might think that they’ve done enough to serve the community but not Dr. Joe. His deep caring for his patients at the Endocenter showed him that people are at the center of everything that is important to him. He also realized that he was blessed to have had such a successful career in medicine and to have reached such a high level of professional excellence.

It was this feeling of compassion and obligation that lead him to co-found New Life Medical Addiction Services in Marlton, New Jersey. Dr. Joe truly wants the best health and personal outcome for all his patients, and he realized he could use his talents to help heal people who are struggling with addiction to opioids and alcohol.

Over the past several years, Dr. Joe  became increasingly concerned by the country’s growing addiction crisis. Because of this, he decided to become an expert in proven medical approaches to managing addiction. To do this, Dr. Joe pursued further education and credentialization in the medical management and treatment of addiction to opioids, alcohol and other addictive substances. Dr. Savon is now a member of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the sub-specialty of Addiction.

Dr. Joe’s ethos about caring for the “whole patient” and for providing a warm, supportive and forward-looking approach to addiction treatment is what New Life is all about.

Some 30-day inpatient addiction treatment programs don’t provide people with the skills they need to succeed in the real world once they leave the protective environment of the facility. In essence, patients are left to fend for themselves.

At New Life, we know that the real world is the only world our patients live in. We also know that relapse is all too possible if our patients are not joe savon top doc 2020given the right tools to navigate a life in sobriety. We provide a full range of counseling and support services to patients so that they are ready to take on life’s challenges without needing to fall back on the destructive use of alcohol or drugs.

To ensure that patients get the care that they need during the COVID-19 national health crisis, Dr. Joe and his team have reinvented the way that they dispense medicine and counseling to those in need through innovative tele-health services and with drive-through evaluations.
